AIA Chapter Meeting and Factory Tour

This past May, AIA Southern AZ had the opportunity to go behind the scenes with Ultralights Lighting: a true American lighting design and fabrication company, founded and based in Tucson. We toured the facilities and met the team that creates and delivers high quality commercial and residential decorative lighting all over the US and Canada.

Ultralights production manager David Smith took us through their 18th Street facility, the hub of design, engineering, and fabrication. From there we headed over to their new and nearby headquarters at 320 S. Plumer Avenue for a look at fit and finishing, fixture assembly and shipping. We wrapped up the tour with a bit of conversation, ping-pong, and Ultralights swag over local refreshments and nosh from Tito & Pep.
